Jewellery:
On health and safety grounds, please do not send children to school wearing any type of jewellery, including earrings.
Children may wear school badges or medals, for example, as recognition to their role in the school council.
Children in Key Stage Two may wear a small watch (not a ‘smart watch’).
Regulations for schools’ state that no jewellery can be worn for P.E. and Games lessons and during use of play equipment when injuries can occur. This means that any child wearing jewellery (other than a school badge/small watch) to school will not be permitted to go outside at playtimes.
Other notes:
For health and safety reasons it is advisable for long hair to be tied back with a plain band or a band in the school colours – red, black, grey or white.
Makeup, nail varnish and false/gel nails and temporary tattoos are not permitted to be worn by pupils.
No hoodies or clothes with logos other than the school logo are allowed.
Please mark all items clearly with the child’s name.
The school is not responsible for the loss of school uniform, or personal items such as a small watch in Key Stage Two, and no staff will be held to account for such loss.
